5 Reasons to be a Senior Spokesmodel
Since I’ve launched my 2021-2022 Senior Spokesmodel program, I received many applications from amazing girls that are excited about this fantastic adventure!
The purpose of a Spokesmodel Program is to bring together a team of outgoing, energetic, and well-rounded juniors and seniors to be part of styled shoots, attend events for team building, refer other juniors and seniors to the photographer’s business, and receive many perks, including CASH! These styled photoshoots usually include fun themes, different outfits, and sometimes even hair and makeup, with the purpose to showcase the junior/senior as individuals and also as part of the team. It is an incredible opportunity to get many fantastic Instagram worthy photos AND receive your own senior session on top of that!
I have been approached by many seniors that are interested in the program, but they are not sure if they are a good candidate! If you’re on the fence about it, I want to share with you 5 reasons why this new, fun, exciting program may be right for you!
1. You’re a natural leader
Don’t let the word SPOKESMODEL scare you… you don’t need to be a model, in fact, as a senior photographer, I love when my girls or guys haven’t had ANY modeling experience. Why? Because it’s like working with a blank canvas! I love teaching them the poses and moves for the most flattering and natural-looking portraits.
What’s more important is that you’re a natural leader! If you are involved in extra-curricular activities, have a determined and strong personality, and have shown through your high school career that you’re a born leader, you are perfect for a Spokesmodel program! This is evidence that you’ll be part of the entire experience, that you’ll contribute fun and clever ideas, and that you’ll be comfortable sharing your experience with others!
2. You love having fun!
I am a self-declared JOY SEEKER. I love working with joyful people, and that’s exactly the reason why I am a photographer. The Senior Spokesmodel Program includes several styled shoots and events that are all about having fun! During these shoots, we laugh with each other and get to know each other better. The behind-the-scenes are just as fun when you can see some of the silly things we do to get the portraits we want. You’ll also meet other like-minded girls (and boys!) who are there because they want to have fun, too! So if you are naturally a fun person, who loves to laugh and make friends, the Spokesmodel Program is PERFECT for you!
3. You love social media
This is definitely a must. Every Spokesmodel Program requires that the junior/senior shares their final images as well as behind-the-scenes from the photoshoots in any and all social media platforms in which they are active. Photographers spend hours planning, shooting, editing, and writing blogs that highlight the spokesmodels, and they do all this for the relatively small requirements to participate. In return, we want you to share our work and your opinions on the experience. We want you to share with others what is like to work with us, how fun it is, and ultimately share your beautiful images that reflect our work.
Sharing in your social media outlets also have a benefit to you: if any of your friends love your photos and want to have the same experience you had, they will book with us, and you will get cashback and other credits in return! Some Spokesmodels are so great at referring their friends to the photographer’s business, that they end up getting back the fee they paid to participate!
4. You like trying new things
Maybe you feel a little nervous at the idea of being someone’s MODEL, and you doubt yourself because you’ve never modeled before. But you are also OK at trying new things. You’re OK at stepping out of your comfort zone. You know that this is a valuable skill to have as you get older, get ready for college and get ready to become an adult. One of my favorite quotes is “Feel the Fear, and Do It Anyways”, and when this became my mantra, I began doing things I never thought I was capable of… including owning my own business!
So go ahead, push that comfort zone away and do something that you will cherish forever!
5. You want to make the best out of your senior year!
When you started high school, you were probably already looking forward to your senior year: prom, senior supper, last homecoming dance, graduation. You probably never thought 4 years would go by so fast!
Now that you’re ready to take your SAT, apply for colleges and plan your future, you know your senior year is upon you and you want to make the best out of it!
If you know you want a photographer to capture the real you, your uniqueness and your personality; a photographer that cares about you and empowers you, and feels like a best friend; if you know you care about the experience while getting beautiful portraits that you are proud of; and if you want a variety of seasons, locations and outfits that capture the story of your senior year; my Senior Spokesmodel Program is PERFECT FOR YOU!!!
My goal is that at the end of the program (usually by graduation) you would have made life-long friends and that you remember this experience as one of the best things you did in high school!
