Romantic Downtown Detroit Elegant Wedding Styled Shoot

Updated: May 10, 2022

Ever since I was a little kid I dreamed of what my wedding would be like. I always thought about the wedding colors, where it would be, what dress I'd be wearing and so on. The inspiration for this shoot came from two things combined, my favorite color and my favorite time of year. I love spring because everything is fresh, new, beautiful and romantic. Just like a new marriage!

I found the wedding venue for this shoot by happen chance when I was looking for a location to shoot at on airbnb, and Simply Social Event Space popped up. I messaged Dominque and from there it is history. The instant I asked, she was interested and that is how the planning for this shoot started.

Our couple couldn’t have been sweeter! These two are newly married and show so much adoration for one another. Maddie's hair was in a loose bun, in a half up half down look done by Anza Kamran. In her hands she carried a bouquet filled with roses, ranunculus and many beautiful florals. To compliment her lace gown, she wore Peep Toe heels – adding just a little more sparkle. Her stackable rings from Darakjian Jewelrs were the perfect combination of original and elegant.

The reception table was designed flawlessly by Now and Forever Flower Boutique. The white linen from Linen Tablecloth acted as a neutral base and allowed some of the accents – like the rose gold plates and long-stemmed wine glasses to show off. Of course, the elongated candle centerpieces couldn’t have been more beautiful with the floating candles and floral accents!

At the end of the wedding styled shoot, vendors and guests enjoyed a delicious three tiered cake with buttercream frosting from Explosive Confections.

Thank you so much to the team that came together to create this Romantic Spring Detroit wedding inspiration come to life.
